Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs)

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports that air inside your home can be
2-5 times more polluted than air outside your home. And according to the American Lung Association, indoor air quality has a tremendous impact on human health.

With asthma rates, sinus infections, headaches, and the more serious illnesses such as cancer increasing, it makes sense to eliminate toxins and increase the air quality inside our homes. Chemical pollutants such as radon, formaldehyde, and carbon monoxide, as well as biological contaminants such as bacteria, molds, viruses, pollen, dust mites, and dander, can accumulate and be continuously circulated throughout a home.

An energy recovery ventilator (ERV) exchanges the stale inside air (including pollutants as mentioned above) with fresh filtered outside air and recaptures up to 96% of the heat (or cooling) that is being exhausted. This system is quiet, has an effective filtration rate of 95% at 5 microns, and is easy to maintain.

The energy consumed by the ERV is the equivalent of one 100-watt light bulb.
